RE: INVITATION TO THE TRAINING OF TRAINERS ON GENDER MAINSTREAMING IN DISASTER RISK MANAGEMENT: MONOMOTAPA HOTEL, HARARE – 18TH TO 20TH JANUARY 2022 

The Department of Civil Protection has been working together with the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprises Development, the Ministry of Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare and the Ministry of Finance in collaboration with the African Risk Capacity (ARC) and the African Development Bank to ensure gender mainstreaming in DRM.

In this regard, a gender analysis (GA) has been conducted which provides an overview of the gender situation in DRM.  Furthermore, a Gender Action Plan (GAP) has been developed premised on available data from the National and Subnational levels and field visits to selected communities conducted early 2021.This resulted in the development of a Gender Training Manual in DRM which will be used during the training programme.

Accordingly, an invitation is being extended to you to avail an officer to participate at the three-day Training of Trainers workshop scheduled for the 18th  to the 20th of January 2022 at Monomotapa Hotel in Harare.
