This is a brief report on the validation workshop of the gender analysis report of the disaster risk management sector that was conducted in Senegal under the leadership of the ARC Gender Unit and the gender team of the FAO Regional Office for Africa, with the support of the ARC technical working group and the FAO country office in Senegal. This was part of the ongoing collaboration between ARC and FAO which recently culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two organisations. The workshop also aimed to validate the proposed gender action plan.
